The country has over 32,000 new nurses, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday. The PRC reported that 32,617 out of 77,901 passed the Nurse License Examination in various cities nationwide.

Golda Manto Yap, a graduate of Felipe Verallo Memorial Foundation in Cebu, topped the board examination with a rating of 86.90 percent, followed by Ronie Rose Capati Arevalo of Adamson University with 86.40 percent. Arellano University graduate Michelle Barberan placed third, with 86.20, while Caroline May Chamen of Philippine College of Health and Sciences and Clarissa Escober of Naga College Foundation were fourth with 86 per cent.
In the fifth slot were University of Sto. Tomas graduates Marco Dometita, Magaret Encarnacion, and Marc Marzan, and Lalaine Perlas of Our Lady of Fatima and Debbie Rose Tanengsy of Velez College. About 40 other graduates of UST, University of the Philippines and other nursing schools in the country shared the remaining top 10 spots by garnering over 84 percent rating in the examination.

The coolest business and livelihood training institution in the Philippines is definitely Nego-Skwela. Yes, Negoskwela is Kwela. Why? Because I just attended one of their seminars and I really learned a lot.
I attended the silk-screen printing seminar and now I am ready to make my own printed shirts. I hope that I can turn this into a regular business someday.

I am really excited to see the 2009 Academy Awards. I just finished watching the trailers of the nominated pictures in the 2009 Oscars and my bet goes to Slumdog Millionaire.
Although The Curious Case of Benjamin Button leads the pack in the nominations, I think that it is so seriously made to win the Academy Awards. It has the standard formulas that make an Oscar winner.
Slumdog Millionaire however, is something that is more of a curious case than Benjamin Button. The movie breathes life into one of life’s obessions among the poor and middle class - and that is to become a millionaire.

I am not a fan of Stephenie Meyer maybe that’s why I did not watch this movie in the cinemas. But of course I would not want to miss this movie because everyone seems to be talking about it.
So what I did was search the internet for free websites where I can watch Twilight online. I was able to successfully do so and I must say that it’s not a great movie, just okay.
When I told my friends how I felt about Twilight, they all said that the books are better. That got me curious because I love reading and maybe, the novels are indeed better. So again, I looked for websites where I can download Twilight books online.
And now, I’m on the second book, New Moon. I agree, the novel is better than the film. It’s not as great as Harry Potter though, but it’s still interesting and good to read.
All my friends are talking about this movie, Slumdog Millionaire. They say that it is a really great film. In fact, the movie won Best Picture in the Golden Globe awards.
My friends want me to watch Slumdog Millionaire online and see why it won. I asked them what the movie was about and I must say that it’s an interesting story.
Slumdog Millionaire is about a guy who grew up in the slums of India but was able to win the 20 million rupee jackpot of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. The story tells how he knew the answers to the questions.
Slumdog Millionaire is story about love, friendship, family and most of all, destiny.
My most recent discovery is One Tree Hill. This television series has been on air for years and it’s only a few days ago that I took the time to watch One Tree Hill episodes and I must say that it’s really a great television series.
No wonder there are already so many fans out there of this program. I was only able to watch it because a friend was watching it in his house one night when I came to visit. He was already watching the latest season and he was patient to give me a background of the story.
So now, I will go and watch the initial 5 seasons and hope that I can catch up as soon as possible. I am really excited now and wish that by February, I will now be able to watch One Tree Hill Season 6.
